Tales Of A Future Past continues the sound that Mekong Delta has been developing (or redeveloping) since their reformation in the 2000s. Progressive and technical thrash metal with classical influences and esoteric lyrical themes and it’s damn good. This would seem, at least partially, that this is a concept album of a traveler making their way in a frozen post-apocalyptic landscape and in search of some lost knowledge, but things don’t seem to be going well. That’s my armchair take, anyway, hah. Fantastic album, end to end.
