Nová Syntéza 2 is the fifth studio album by the Czech progressive rock band Modrý Efekt, also known as Blue Effect. This album continues the band’s exploration of blending rock with jazz elements, featuring collaborations with the Czechoslovak Radio Jazz Orchestra. This unusual fusion of rock instrumentation and jazz orchestration makes for a dynamic and innovative sound, reflecting the band’s unique directions in musical experimentation. It’s a bit wild and not at all stuffy as rock-orchestral collaborations type albums can be. Recommended if you are able to check it out sometime.
1974 Czech pressing from a label called Panton. Found this at a record show a couple years ago and it’s been around. Took some work to get the record to play through, at first, but after some deep cleaning its sounds real nice.
