Signaux comprises two tracks, totaling approximately 35 minutes, and delves into experimental and ambient soundscapes, reflecting Hampson’s evolution from guitar-driven music to electroacoustic exploration. “Signaux 1” is a 2 channel mix of a 8 channel diffusion at Planétarium ECM Mendes France, Poitiers in 2012 and has a truly otherworldly feel about it. Released separately, but at the same time with the Suspended Cadences LP both works highlight Hampson’s dedication to avant-garde and experimental composition and recording techniques. Not for everyone, but I’ve never felt like an everyone.
