Saint Vitus - Lillie: F-65 (2012)

Lillie: F-65 marks the band’s first full-length effort with vocalist Scott “Wino” Weinrich since V (1990). The album delivers the band’s signature blend of slow, crushing doom metal, steeped in raw, bluesy undertones and bleak atmospheres. Named after a powerful barbiturate, Lillie: F-65 reflects themes of addiction and despair, reinforced by Wino’s haunting vocal delivery and Dave Chandler’s heavy, fuzz-drenched guitar riffs. Nice return from these doom merchants after a long hiatus. Engineered and mixed by Tony Reed who delivers a fine production job here.

2012 French pressing from Season Of Mist. Just picked this up used a few days ago along with a copy of the band’s 2019 self titled LP. Hope to land a copy of Die Healing one of these days!
