Sepultura’s second studio album, Schizophrenia, marked a pivotal shift in the band’s musical direction, transitioning from their earlier death metal influences toward a more thrash-oriented sound. This album was the first to feature guitarist Andreas Kisser, whose addition brought enhanced technical proficiency and a fresh creative dynamic to the group. Despite its raw production quality, the album holds up well and is a high point for raw, unrelenting thrash metal. So fucking good!
