Chicken Shack - Imagination Lady (1971)

Imagination Lady represents a heavier and more aggressive direction for Chicken Shack, moving further from their traditional blues roots into heavy rock territory. With Stan Webb leading the power trio lineup, the album delivers raw, guitar-driven energy, emphasizing extended solos and a grittier sound. This is the album that got me into Chicken Shack on the first place, due to its heavier guitar driven jams and chonky-ass bass sound, courtesy of John Glascock. This album rips.

1971 US pressing from Deram. Like most of my Chicken Shack LPs, it’s a road warrior, but plays great. Record show find from the days of yore, hah.
