Green River features Creedence Clearwater Revival at the height of their swamp rock sound, blending blues, country, and rock with a raw, energetic spirit. The album features some of the band’s most iconic songs, including the title track, “Bad Moon Rising,” and “Lodi,” each highlighting John Fogerty’s distinctive vocals and sharp songwriting. Solid through and through, as is well established at this point in the band’s run.
1969 US pressing on Fantasy Records and somehow sounds damn good.
