The self-titled debut album by Dug Dug’s is a landmark in Mexican rock, blending psychedelic influences with heavy rock and early progressive elements. Featuring fuzz-driven guitars, swirling organ melodies, and propulsive rhythms, the album the album is rich and engaging as fuck. For some reason, I’ve equated Dug Dug’s as spring and summer jams, so it having been a real nice sunny day here in the PNW, Dug Dug’s is what I need.
2011 US reissue from Lion Records/Sony Music and it is perfectly awesome.
