RIITIIR represents a continued evolution in Enslaved’s sound, blending their black metal roots with progressive and melodic elements in increasingly complex ways. The album’s title, derived from the words “rites” and “rituals,” hints at its lyrical focus on myth, transformation, and the human condition. The album is insanely good and is so well put together that I find more and more to enjoy with each listen. One of the best bands going these days, without a doubt.
