Gunsight builds on the heavy, riff-driven sound of Gun’s debut while incorporating more experimental and varied compositions. Most of what I’ve read about this say that it was considered underwhelming and was largely overlooked at the time, but to my ears, this is some smokin’ heavy rock jams with a nice bit of variety and experimentation here and there. Lots to love. nice cover by Hipgnosis as well.
1970 US pressing on Epic Records. Found this copy at the amazing Smash Records in Washington DC some years back. Would love to get back to DC to hit some of those great shops again sometime.
