The Future Never Waits, released in 2023, finds Hawkwind continuing their exploration of space rock with a mix of cosmic ambiance, philosophical musings, and driving rhythms. Featuring lengthy instrumental passages and spoken-word segments, reflecting on time, technology, and the human experience, the album is rich, beautiful, and hella engaging. Even in my 30s, I did not expect Hawkwind to eventually become one of my all time favorite bands, but here we are.
