Main - Ablation (2013)

Ablation is the most recent album to be released by Main, which is (or was?) Robert Hampson’s minimalist exponential ambition project following the dissolution of Loop in the early 1990s. The album is similar to much of Main’s later period releases… very minimal, sometimes jarring, and very experimental. However, the second side of the LP does have more of a drone vibe, which is a really nice. It’s not a record for all occasions, but when things are quiet, it’s nice ride.
