Scrap Metal is welcome byproduct of RidingEasy Records’ Brown Acid series which is a focus on underground heavy rock from the 1960s through the 1980s. Many of these unearthed recordings had a distinctive heavy metal sound going on which didn’t fit with the vibes of the Brown Acid bands, so they kicked off this series Scrap Metal to feature the heavy metal bands of the late-70s through the 1980s. I don’t know any of these bands from way back and yet this is a solid collection of tunes.
