Trouble finds David Coverdale and his band Whitesnake making pretty solid progress on defining their heavy soulful blues sound. Still far from the LA hair metal sound the band would eventually be known for, this is some warm and soulful heavy blues rock. Also… Jon Lord!!! Martin Birch once again makes it all sound amazing.
1987 North American pressing from Geffen, capitalizing on the success of Whitesnake’s 1987 s/t album. I have a funny mix of OG European Whitesnake releases and a few of these Geffen 80s reissues, but they all sound damn good.
