Black Sabbath - Live Evil (1982)

Live Evil captures Black Sabbath on tour during the Mob Rules era, with Ronnie James Dio on vocals and Vinnie Appice on drums. The double album features a mix of tracks from both Ozzy and Dio fronted eras and the. performances are tight and energetic. Dio brings a dramatic and powerful interpretation to the older material while delivering his own songs with conviction. While the band plays great, the production is serviceable… good, but not outstanding. Unfortunately tensions in the band during the mixing process led Dio to split with Sabbath, taking Appice with him. Despite the drama, there is legendary shit here.

1982 US pressing on Warner Bros. Records.
