Home - The Alchemist (1973)

The Alchemist is Home’s most ambitious effort—a concept record built around a mystical narrative of destruction and rebirth. The album weaves together progressive rock structures, poetic lyrics, and richly textured arrangements to tell its story, with recurring motifs and dynamic shifts that enhance its cinematic vibe. Sadly, despite its awesomeness, this LP was a commercial failure and soon led to the end of the band. Laurie Wisefield went on join Wishbone Ash and of course Cliff Williams continued to massive fame with AC/DC. Cool album, this is. 100% worth your time.

1973 UK pressing from CBS and it sounds amazing.
