Elektronik-Impression is in fact a 1982 rerelease of Klaus Schulze’s Dig It for the East German market. While this version has a different title and cover than the original, the music and track ordering appears to be the same. Dig It was Schulze’s first fully digital record and it does have a notable futuristic feel with more deep sequencing, metallic atmospheres, and science fiction vibes. Fantastic album.
1982 German Democratic Republic (GDR) pressing on Amiga and it sounds great. Stumbled across this at a shop called Discos Impacto in Barcelona last year for like 6€ and struggled to identify what the heck it was on the spot so just bought it anyway. Glad I did.
