Filles De Kilimanjaro marks a transitional period for Miles Davis as he further explores into electric instrumentation, Still footed in modal jazz, Davis blends funk grooves and abstract structures, making for some wild ass listening and it’s sort of low-key phenomenal.
1971 US repress from Columbia. Picked this up last week in San Francisco and while the cover looks pretty rough, the LP is somehow clean as can be.
