Neuronium - Digital Dream (1980)

Digital Dream blends cosmic synthesizer textures, hypnotic sequencing, and ambient soundscapes, delivering a dreamlike journey that unfolds gradually across long, meditative tracks. Inspired by science fiction and inner exploration, pieces like “Flying Over Kai Tak” drift through atmospheric layers, echoing the influence of Tangerine Dream while retaining a distinctive melodic and emotional sensibility. Seems like Neuronium gets some flak for following in the path of Klaus Schulze or Tangerine Dream, but these guys have their own sound… maybe not groundbreaking, but hardly derivative. Absolutely worth checking out!

1980 Spanish pressing on Neuronium Records and it sounds fantastic. I recently stumbled across this used at Amoeba Music in San Francisco and couldn’t believe my eyes. Link goes to the track “Privilege” from the reissue as I can’t seem to find a streaming version of this full LP.
