Diary Of A Madman is Ozzy’s second solo album and the last to feature guitarist Randy Rhoads before his tragic death. The album builds on the foundation of Blizzard Of Ozz, delivering a darker, more ambitious sound than its predecessor. While I prefer Ozzy’s work with Black Sabbath, his first few solo albums really hit the mark for early 80s metal. Diary Of A Madman has it all… The songs, the playing, and the production are all spot on!
1981 US pressing on Jet Records and it sounds phenomenal.
