White Eagle features a mix of pulsing sequencer-driven pieces and moodier, ambient textures, reflecting the group’s transition into a more accessible phase of their career. Not a bad era for Tangerine Dream, just a lot less brooding and mysterious than their 1970s output. While probably not the first thing I’d recommend, White Eagle is definitely worth checking out if you are interested in Tangerine Dream and progressive electronic music overall.
1982 European pressing on Virgin. Came across a few TG albums while in Vegas a couple weeks ago and this one one of them.
