Sovereign is the sole album by Tenet, a thrash metal supergroup of sorts formed by guitarist Jed Simon (Strapping Young Lad). The lineup features Steve “Zetro” Souza (Exodus) on vocals, Glen Alvelais (Forbidden) on lead guitar, Byron Stroud (Strapping Young Lad) on bass, and Gene Hoglan (Dark Angel, Death, Strapping Young Lad) on drums . The album delivers a relentless assault of thrash and death metal, blending the chaotic intensity of Strapping Young Lad with classic Bay Area thrash.
2024 US reissue from M-Theiry Audio/Century Media. I’ve been looking for a vinyl copy of this album for ages, but the only previous LP pressing was pretty rare, so happy to learned of this new pressing. Sounds great.
