Beyond And Before was initially released as a 2xCD set in 1997 and is a really nice collection of Yes’ BBC recording from the band’s early days. Love the OG lineup’s sound and Peter Banks’ criminality underrated playing,, which is a lot more angular than Steve Howe and a tad dangerous to boot.
I was in the middle of a Yes run when I decided to get this blog on the move and this makes a nice reset back to the first album, even though it’s an archival release. Good shit. As I write this my daughter who has recently been raiding my CD collection is blasting Satyricon from her bedroom. Life never ceases to amaze.
