High Risk is the debut full-length album by Los Angeles-based metal band Blade Killer. The band primarily draw inspiration from the NWOBHM sounds and is reminiscent of Iron Maiden in their early days with Paul Di’Anno. While this may sound regressive, the band is skilled enough in songcraft and innovative playing chops that they maintain their own sound and identity. Really good record if you’re at all into early metal.
