Can’t Get Through is Hairy Chapter’s final and most refined release, blending their heavy psychedelic roots with tighter songwriting and a more focused heavy rock edge. The band dials back some of the wild jamming in favor of mood and groove, creating a sound that flirts with early doom and krautrock’s hypnotic repetition. It’s a cult favorite for a reason—dirty, driven, and oddly sophisticated in its gloom. Put this shit in your ears. Better to regret something you have done rather than something you could have done, but didn’t.
