Bolex Dementia is Hard Stuff’s second and final album—an erratic, darker turn from the brash confidence of Bulletproof. Recorded after a serious car crash involving both Du Cann and Hammond the record carries a fragmented, uneasy energy. The heavy riffs are still there, but the songwriting leans more experimental, veering into moody ballads, bluesy detours, and moments of outright weirdness. All in all, it’s not quite as strong as it’s predecessor but is still makes for a helluva great listen.
