…And The Circus Leaves Town is Kyuss’ swan song—more restrained and moody than its predecessors, but still soaked in desert sun and fuzzed-out riffage. The band leans into a drier, more spacious sound, trading some of the earlier albums’ sprawling jams for tight, coiled grooves and it works! It’s not as immediate as Welcome To Sky Valley, but its murky atmosphere and tension make it an oddly fitting final chapter for this legendary act.
