Morbid Saint - Spectrum Of Death (1988/1990)

Spectrum Of Death, released is a relentlessly aggressive slab of Midwestern thrash that pushes right up against death metal without tipping over. Morbid Saint came out of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, with a venomous sound that owed as much to early Slayer and Kreator as it did to the rising underground brutality of the time. The riffs are insane and Pat Lind’s snarling, near-hysterical vocals give the album its unhinged vibe that pushes everything to the limit. And heck, the label that signed them released their 1988 demo as an LP instead of bringing them into the studio for a proper recording. The resulting album is raw as fuck, but it definitely works! Buckle up if you dare.

2019 German reissue from High Roller Records. Pretty sure the HRR editions are the best sounding pressings out there.
