Razor - Executioner’s Song (1985)

Executioner’s Song is Razor’s first full-length and a savage slab of proto-thrash fury. It builds on the raw intensity of Armed And Dangerous, with tighter songwriting and a clearer sense of momentum. That 80s low-end production value somehow adds to the ferocity of the band’s sound and help cement this a fantastic early entry to Razor’s catalog. This one also marks the beginning of the band’s penchant for hilariously questionable cover artwork that is both amateurish and cliche, but what’s not to love! The music speaks for itself.

2019 European reissue from Attic/Viper Records/Hammerheart Records.
