Lazy Bones!! is probably Witch’s most iconic record, pushing their fuzz-soaked Zamrock sound into darker, heavier territory. The album blends psych rock and proto-metal riffing with haunting melodies and a restless groove, capturing a sense of urgency that mirrors the political and social uncertainty of mid-70s Zambia. Such a lo-fi album, but damn it’s good.
2021 US pressing on Now-Again Records. Looks like I picked this one up used at a Zia Record Exchange in Las Vegas a couple of years ago.
