A II Z - The Witch Of Berkeley (1980)

The Witch Of Berkeley captures Manchester’s A II Z in full NWOBHM firepower during a 1980 hometown gig. It’s a live debut album—a ballsy move—and it plays like one, full of scrappy energy, fast tempos, and unapologetic Motörhead & Judas Priest vibes. While the songwriting isn’t always on point, the band’s hard hitting live energy takes this up a notch. It’s a good time listen without a doubt and worth digging into if you’re into that early 80s NWOBHM scene, as I most definitely am.

1980 UK original pressing on Polydor. Found this a few days ago in the wild and it plays great! Stoked!
