This is the debut release from Mercyful Fate and as far as debut EP releases go, this is where it’s at! Cut in the early metal vibes of the NWOBHM scene as well as MF’s signature contribution to the proto-black metal sound and character. Excellent and massively important release.
2020 US reissue on Metal Blade Records. I also have an unofficial 2012 Netherlands pressing that is a beautiful replica of the original and not sure which of these are better, honestly.
