Collection II represents the first official Misfits release since the 1986 self titled compilation, now known as Collection I. It opens with the blistering “We Are 138” and includes cuts from the Evilive EP, Walk Among Us, and Earth A.D., showing the band’s progression from horror-obsessed punk weirdos to full-throttle hardcore miscreants. Some of the mixes differ subtly (or jarringly) from earlier versions, and the sound quality is hit or miss, but that’s part of the charm.
