Garden Of The Titans was recorded during the pinnacle of Opeth’s 1970s styled progressive rock period. While I love this era, it somehow didn’t occur to me that the band would still be vital in a live environment, but this seems like an effective performance. The band is tight, a little loose, and seemingly really leaning into the jams. It’s a great performance.
2018 European pressing on Nuclear Blast/Moderbolaget Records. I found this brand new in Spain last year for like 18€ and while I wasn’t looking for this one, I wasn’t about to pass it up either.
