Ozzy Osbourne - The Ultimate Sin (1986)

The Ultimate Sin finds Ozzy leaning hard into the glossy, radio-ready side of ‘80s metal, with big hooks, flashy production, and a hilarious image makeover to match. Jake E. Lee’s delivers the riffs, though it seems folks have lost the plot with this album a bit. Yes, it’s Ozzy’s most LA glam sounding album, but it’s sharp, heavy  and superbly composed, probably more thanks to Jake E. Lee and the uncredited Bob Daisley rather than Ozzy, to be honest. Awesome cover art by fantasy artist Boris Vallejo.

Original 1986 US pressing on CBS Associated Records.
