Still is the only solo album by Pete Sinfield, best known as the lyricist behind King Crimson’s early mystique. The album leans into pastoral art rock with a dreamier, more romantic flair than his Crimson work, blending lush Mellotron passages, flute, and folk textures with baroque arrangements. Joined by many familiar collaborators… Robert Fripp, Mel Collins, John Wetton, and Greg Lake all contribute and gives parts of the record a ghostly Crimson feel, but it’s very subtle. The album is actually quite nice and gives off a gentle, folky, misty vibe.
1973 US pressing on Manticore.
