Black Future kicked off Vektor’s path as one of the most technically ferocious thrash acts of the 21st century. Drawing from Voivod’s sci-fi angularity and the speed-freak ethos of classic Bay Area thrash, the album whips through dystopian visions with surgical precision. David DiSanto’s piercing vocals sound like a radioactive hybrid of Mille Petrozza and Quorthon, while the band’s intricate riffing and progressive detours push the genre far beyond nostalgia. Excellent, but also completely whack! Love this record.
2015 US repress on Earache Records. Zero complaints.
