Unpopular opinion, but From The 13th Sun could be my favorite Candlemass album despite being non-typical of the traditional doom metal sound the band is largely known for. Epic psychedelic doom metal and almost science fiction vibes in classic Sabbath mode and it’s a fucking masterpiece. I love the ever-loving shit out of this album.
2014 German pressing from Peaceville Records with a handful of unreleased cuts on side D. Presentation and sound quality are top shelf! I also have an alternate version of this release that has entirely different unreleased bonus cuts and artwork, but I’ll get to that later on.
