The 1990s, particularly the latter half of the decade was a transformative period for me in terms of my musical interests. By 1997 I had almost completely stepped away from metal (this was about to change), and was going back and forth between ambient, electronic, and lofi musical types. I’m not quite sure how Incam across Godspeed You Black Emperor!, but this band sort of launched me into this lofi, quiet music journey that included bands such as Amp, Magnog, Labradford, Flying Saucer Attack, and Windy & Carl, among others. Some amazing tunes and oddly part of my journey back to metal and other types of music played and recorded by humans. Beautiful album and one of spent way too much time thinking about over the years.
2018 Canadian repress on Constellation and it sounds amazing.
