Peace Sells is Megadeth’s second album and their first on major label Capital Records. The album is absolutely solid and contains some memorable and innovative compositions. The last with the original lineup intact, the band was on fire at this point… if only it could last. I saw Megadeth open for King Diamond in Seattle in August of 1986, original lineup intact, and they were absolutely incredible live. Peace Sells hadn’t yet been released, but the band had already incorporated some of those tunes into their set list. Cool as fuck album and definitely one of the most important in the band’s career.
OG 1986 US pressing on Capitol Records. I bought this copy brand new when it came out and have had it since. It almost still smells brand new, which is crazy to me. Pristine condition.
