This Wilderness is Midday Veil’s final album and easily the band’s most accessible recording to date. It’s a beautiful album that incorporates elements of psych, krautrock and even synth-pop in a way that is seamless and beautiful. They seemed set on a trajectory for success and then immediately spit up. The band left behind an absolutely fantastic legacy of recorded works and I’d strongly recommend any of their work. Even more pressing, these LPs go for cheap on Discogs and I’m going to predict that these limited/private pressings will be unattainable at reasonable prices in years to come.
