Twilight Of The Gods is epic viking metal. Literally the prototype of what would come from other artists as this is some seriously influential music in the world of underground metal. Entirety unique and unexpectedly beautiful. Allegedly, this was meant to be Bathory’s final album, but more would come… I may in fact love this album.
2023 Swedish repress on Black Mark Production. Volume is a bit low on this platter, but it sounds quite nice when cranked up a little.
