Walpurgis was the original working name for “War Pigs” and while the music is essentially the same, the lyrics went through various states of flux, with this being one of the earliest versions I can recall… more satanic rituals and less dogs of war than the final version on Paranoid. Anyway, this is a bootleg release containing the John Peel sessions with Black Sabbath in 1970 and sound quality wise, this is some great fucking shit! Features an Estth demo cut at the end for the sone “The Rebel”. Not bad at all, honestly.
(likely) 2019 bootleg red vinyl Finnish pressing on a label called Shadow Records. I bought this in Spain in 2019 and it seems that there were a number of color variants released around the same time, so 2019 is my best guess for release year. The album actually sounds fucking fantastic!
