One of my favorite things ever is metal EPs and Crypt Sermon’s Saturnian Appendices is exactly that. A solid 4-song set of epic doom metal in the classic style. Just released today and I unexpectedly came across it at a local shop while getting something else. First pass, but sounds fucking great. They somehow manage to transform Mayhem’s “De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas” into a heavy-ass doom epic. Crypt Sermon definitely have something special going on.
2025 first US pressing on Dark Descent Records. Crazy looking clear with silver glitter vinyl variant. I was expecting black or red, hah.
