Enslaved is one of those bands that will occasionally change out members in way that are not dramatic, but more gradual as the band’s sounds continues to change and evolve over the years. Keyboardist/vocalist Herbrand Larsen’s last appearance was on the Roadburn Live LP with Håkon Vinje making his debut with the band here. The album is a bit transitional, but it’s expansive, rich, and fucking beautiful. Enslaved are easily one of the band bands going these days. Brilliant work!
