Faithful Breath - Gold ‘N’ Glory (1984)

So, I learned about Faithful Breath back in the early 2000s when digging into early 70s progressive rock and came across a digital copy of their really nice ‘74 debut, Fading Beauty. The band was pretty quiet for most of the 70s and came back in 1980, completely transformed into a heavy metal band. I haven’t actually checked out much of their metal stuff, but recently stumbled across this album at a local shop and picked it up due to the hilariously terrible airbrush artwork… then realized it was Fathful Bresth, and hadda bring it home. The music is cheesy 80s German metal, but it has its own certain charm. Produced by none other than Udo Dirkschneider and the production is alright.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate this cover art. Objectively, this is some bad art, but that’s part of what makes it so awesome.

1984 Belgian pressing on Mausoleum Records.
