This is the debut album from Seattle area (Bellevue) heavy metal act, Fifth Angel. I grew up in this scene and remember these guys, but as a thrash metal teenager, I didn’t give power metal type stuff too much attention. Still, the cover on this reissue edition always stuck with me and I eventually picked it up at a record show a few years back. Solid traditional heavy metal/power metal tunes and honestly, it’s aged pretty well if you like this kind of metal. I generally (still) don’t go too deep in this scene, but I like this one a lot. Produced by Terry Date, and certainly the sound benefits from his oversight.
1988 US reissue on Epic Records. Sounds good and features some completely different cover art. I’d say the front cover is quite effective. I’ve added the original front cover for reference below.
