Grand Magus - Wolf’s Return (2005)

So, I low-key love this album, but it’s a bit of a departure from Grand Magus’ doom metal sound of their first two LPs. A little more traditional metal with a modern production approach, but fuck… the songs are nicely crafted and the over all vibe is heavy fucking jams.

2014 UK reissue on Rise Above Records and it sound insanely good. I landed all three of these first three LPs from Rise Above Records HQ shop in London all at once and even saw Lee Dorian duck in and out of the shop as I got there right when they were opening. Didn’t get to talk w/him, but still cool. I destroyed my wallet in that place and would do it again in a heartbeat.
