Initially recorded in 1981, this awesome live album wasn’t properly released until May of 1983. Unsure of the state of the band at the time of release, but I do know the original lineup completely dissolved in ‘83, leaving only guitarist John Mortimer to push things forward. Regardless, this is somewhat of an infamous live album that gained notoriety for “The Small Hours”, a non LP live cut that was covered by Metallica for the $5.98 EP in 1987. Honestly, both versions bring something good to the table and hopefully the original Holocaust band got some sweet payouts from it. All that shit aside, this is a badass live album, through and through. Do this!
2014 German reissue on High Roller Records. Comes with Live From The Raw Loud N’ Live Tour 7-inch as a bonus and damn…, the entire presentation and sound of this is top notch.
