I nearly forgot about this whack ass album. In the wake of Holocaust’s spit in 1983, guitarist Ed Dudley formed a new much more commercial leaning band called Hologram, plainly using the Holocaust logo style. Unsure of the band politics at the time, but the album is clearly an effort to cash in on the band’s notoriety without causing too much legal trouble. All in all, it’s a very commercial sounding hard rock album, but it doesn’t exactly suck or anything. Not sure why I do this to myself, but I also try to understand the downfall of a band before I give it up. This album makes an interesting case, but Holocaust with John Mortimer is a completely different tale.
1983 UK pressing on Phoenix Record and Filmworks. Record show pickup in 2018 and it sounds pretty damn good.
